Scotland Elopement Photography Just the two of you.
The whole of Scotland. — Intimate Wedding & Elopement Photographer in Glencoe, Isle of Skye & Scottish Highlands
Documentary elopement photography across the Scottish Highlands and beyond.
AN ELOPEMENT IS.
Before the world finds out.Deliberate. Honest. Entirely yours.
No performance. No audience you didn't choose. Just the two of you, somewhere that matters — the light falling as it will, the weather doing what it does, the photographs showing exactly how it was.
I follow your elopement the way I follow every wedding — quietly, without direction, without getting in the way. The difference is the landscape has more room to breathe.
“You were so low-key and calm on our wedding day, which made such a huge difference. We had this gut feeling that you'd deliver something amazing, but honestly, this is even better than we hoped for.”
— Alice & Alex

Frequently asked questions — everything you need to know before getting in touch.
A few things, and they matter. The landscapes are genuinely unlike anywhere else — Glencoe, Skye, Rannoch Moor, Torridon. The light shifts every ten minutes. The weather is unpredictable in ways that make photographs honest rather than staged.
Then there's the law — under Scottish legislation, you can marry almost anywhere outdoors as long as an authorised celebrant and two witnesses are present. The landscape itself becomes the venue.
Yes to both. Submit Marriage Notice Forms to the local registrar at least 29 days before, arrange an authorised celebrant — I'm happy to recommend people others have worked with — and bring two witnesses. I'm always happy to stand as one. No fixed venue required. Anywhere that feels right is legal.
Scottish weather will do what it wants. Mist, low cloud, a passing shower — these aren't problems to manage. They're the atmosphere that makes the photographs look the way they do.
If the weather makes the chosen location genuinely inaccessible or unsafe, we reschedule within a mutually agreed window. If you need to change date entirely, get in touch — it's always a conversation.
The day is shaped entirely around the two of you. I know the locations — the light, the timing, the paths that get you somewhere without three hours of hiking. If you want remote and wild, we go there. Accessible and still extraordinary — that exists too.
A small group of close people is absolutely fine. If it matters to you, it belongs there.
Yes. I'm based in Glasgow and work across Scotland, but elopements don't stop at the border. France — Paris, Provence, the Alps. Switzerland. Morocco. Algeria. Poland. If the landscape is worth the journey and I know the language, I'll find a way there.
Not at all where you're from. Couples come from across the UK, Europe, and internationally — the legal process is the same and the planning works regardless of where you're based.
As for timing, as early as you can. Late spring and autumn dates — when the Scottish light and landscape are at their best — go well in advance. Most couples reach out 6 to 18 months ahead. If something is coming together quickly, get in touch anyway.
The full edited gallery is delivered within 8 weeks — private, password-protected, shareable with everyone who matters. Editing is a deliberate process and the time reflects that.
